my wife and I have two cars an Audi that can run on regular unleaded and a Jeep Cherokee Limited with a 5.9 litre V8 engine that can only take premium unleaded gas (92octane or higher).  In the past three weeks I've seen my gas bill jump by $30 per week between the two cars.  My bike is starting to look better and better to me as an alternate means of transportation that won't empty my wallet and a fringe benefit is that I can increase my aerobic capacity at the same time.  If you are struggling like I am with the prices at the pump I just found out about a very helpful website that will help you to identify the cheapest gas in your area.  All you have to do is click on the link below and enter your zip code.  Check it out before you head to the gas station to fill up again.  A special thanks to Sis. Vilince Hohenberger for the tip.

I just discovered an all encompassing travel site that focuses on hotels. If you are like me, and you are always looking for a good deal you may want to give this site a try. I used to use Hotels.com exclusively until I found SearchParty.com (www.SearchParty.com).

SearchParty.com culls all of the major travel sites like Expedia, Travelocity, Orbitz, and Hotels.com to find the best possible hotel deals around the country. Whether you are going across country or just looking for a good deal at a local hotel you should give SearchParty.com a try. Let me know what you think.

From time to time I travel for business and I love to check out great restaurants. I'm currently in Atlanta attending a Neighborworks conference and I have frequented some of my favorite local restuarants including Mary Mac's Tea Room. Mary Mac's is a venerable Atlanta institution. If you want good down home southern style cooking then look no further. The service is impeccable, the dress is very casual but a suit and tie can work as well. They feature all of your Southern favorites like Sweet Tea "the table wine of the South," Pot Licker (if you don't know what this is ask your Grandmother or an older relative), Fish and Chicken, and last but not least Homemade Peach Cobbler with vanilla ice cream. Tonight I had an outstanding Blackened Grouper with Cheese Grits, Fried Okra, and Cole Slaw. Everything was PERFECT! I topped this meal off with a peach cobbler.

If you are ever in Atlanta and you want some authentic southern food check out Mary Mac's Tea Room. The restaurant is located near midtown Atlanta at 224 Ponce de Leon Ave, NE, Atlanta, GA 30308. The phone number is 404-876-1800.
